Amazing Roti Recipes You Should Try

Crispy and soft all at once, Roti is a staple that's perfect for scooping up curries, dals, sabzis, and other all-spiced-up sauces. Take your authentic Indian feast to the next level with these easy yet fancy Roti recipes!

Roti Burrito

Think of this as a melding of two worlds. The flavors of India and Latin America coming together to create something that's to be considered a culinary genius. It's so easy to assemble and it's totally customizable to your own liking. Simply layer your available roti with anything you want (or conveniently available inside the fridge) such as cheese, veggies, meat, and your favorite sauce. Then you can heat it up in the microwave or the oven, and it's all good to go! It's an easy on-the-go treat for you!

Roti Lasagna

This might raise a few eyebrows, but we think that being a little bit more adventurous in the kitchen can totally be worth it. To start layering your fusion lasagna, begin by layering the roti on a pan. Next, spread the sauce of your choice (you can choose marinara or even curry. Don't be afraid to go out-of-the-box for this!). Do the layering of the roti and the sauce until you feel it's enough? Finally, add lots of cheese on top. Pop in the oven for 30 minutes or less.

Chocolate Roti

Got some more leftover roti? You can turn it into a dessert!  First thing to do is to crumble the rotis roughly with your hands, then set it aside. Next, heat some fresh milk and once it starts boiling, add the crumbled roti. Cook until the roti is soaked, and the mixture thickens. Add condensed milk then continue to cook until the consistency is similar to rabri. You can also add vanilla extract.

Roti Cutlet

This recipe is quite simple and a great alternative to the usual Roti recipes. It's also a nice vegetarian option for the usual meat cutlets. Start by grinding the leftover rotis until it turns into a grainy mixture. After that, heat oil in a pan, add onions, green chilies, then carrots. Follow this by adding mashed peas, corn, potatoes, seasoned by black pepper, chili flakes, amchoor powder and red chili powder. Put away from the fire and transfer into a bowl. You can then add semolina and lemon, then mix everything properly. This mixture is ready to be shaped into patties. Take corn flour then add some water. Dip the patties you formed into this mixture then roll in breadcrumbs. Finally, fry everything as you would with a regular beef patty.

Making your own Roti has never been THIS easy before
