Smooth and Polished Cast Iron Dutch Oven

This enameled cast iron Dutch oven is very versatile. I have been baking and cooking with this with no issues. It is easy to clean and can last you awhile if you take good care of it. The lid can be used to cook alone too which is so nice to add another cooking element to my kitchen. I am happy with this product and I would recommend it.

I was super excited to purchase this as I had been looking into enameled cast iron pots, but worried that longevity wise the enamel would always crack eventually. But I have a cast iron skillet is prone to food sticking, which isn't desirable either. So when I found this affordable polished cast iron pot I was extatic. And when I received it in the mail it looked just like the pictures and was beautiful. I read though the instructions carefully and decided to season the skillet before use per the instructions as an optional precaution (the pot is preseason already). I wish I hadn't done so though, because it streaked the pot pretty badly (see pictures). However, when I reached out the the customer service reps for advice and what to do they were amazing and super super helpful and kind. Since then I've baked bread per the recipe booklet and it was very good with an amazing crust. I have also used the lid as a skillet on the stove top as well which was great- no issues with food sticking at all! And I've been really careful since then on the seasoning of the pot so I can avoid streaks.

Incredibly well made and super heavy, so it should last a lifetime or two! 🙏😁-Now for the not so awesome part…. You have to be very mindful with the cleaning part. The first few times I washed it, it basically rusted so then I had to wash it with plain hot water a few more times and make certain that I manually dried it so that food I prepared in it, didn’t taste like rust. Side note: read up on the best way to care for it. 🙏

You can tell this is a quality pot, it comes pre-seasoned and polished which all take time to achieve correctly. They included directions with a good number of classic recipes which is nice, and my recommendation is read the directions, especially if this is your first cast iron cookware. They included two silicone handle covers which are great since cast iron handles will get very hot.The cover doubles as a 2nd pan which is amazing, you get 2 in 1 with this kit. I have to admit, this is my first polished cast iron, I have not had the pleasure of using a polished one previous but I am hooked.If I have 1 thing to nit-pick, the season wasn’t perfectly even, you could see areas of discoloration. Makes amazing tasting bread! This is a really nice Dutch oven that came seasoned and smoothly polished. The recipe book that accompanied it had a sugar-free bread recipe that Hubby made over the last two days (the dough had to sit for about 14-16 hours). The bread in the photos is from that recipe. This set is heavy duty, and a lovely quality. The lid can be used separately as a frying pan or together with the pot as a Dutch oven. It's a nice size. Hubby used it in our gas oven, but we're planning on using it on top of the woodstove as well.

I have a lot of cast iron cookware pieces but none like this one. I love the highly polished inside perfect for baking all kinds of bread. Also good for baking whole birds. Very easy to season to keep in good shape. I use canola oil because it has a high smoke point. The top fits nicely on top and doubles as a skillet. I like the little cookbook that comes with I also downloaded the e-recipe book from the QR code. The handle grippers are a nice touch. It's a Good quality product and I like it.

I ordered this polished cast iron Dutch oven primarily to bake bread. It’s a great alternative to the very expensive bread pans that are on the market. This is going to be a very versatile addition in my kitchen. The clever design of this Dutch oven makes it dual purpose, effectively a 2 for1 pan, ( or 3 for me if you count its use as a bread pan) as the lid is flat bottomed and doubles as a frying pan. The pan need to be seasoned before first use but it’s an easy process. I appreciated the silicone pot holders and recipe booklet that were included.

Smooth and Polished Cast Iron Dutch Oven , It very havey and great quality item, its polished cast iron Dutch oven , So I noticed very easy handle while cooking , or baking in it , no sticking .Good size and cover sit very well on top .Second good part cover also very useful for cooking , Good for out cooking alsialso polished surface is very smooth and easy to clean , but polished surface just helps for non stick . after cooking its need to use to oil to avoid cast iron zinc.Great pan good value of money.Like to come with recipes book and handle holder.

I absolutely love this cast iron Dutch oven! The first thing that caught my eye when I opened the package was the beautiful cast iron polished sheen that it has. The size is generous enough for the meals I prepare and I’m looking forward to baking many loaves of homemade bread. The lid fits perfectly on the oven with no gaps. And I’ve used the lid as a pan by itself. It comes with a satisfaction guarantee and instructions on how to season it before using, which was very easy. I also love the included recipe book. A very satisfied customer!

Its not quite the same quality as my Black Cast Iron frying pans ( my cast iron pans include some antique Wagner's and all are Made in the USA). This Dutch Oven is made in China - it is Brown. The interior is very shiny brown finish and the exterior is brownish/black. Overall it works well for the main reason I ordered it -which was to bake bread which turned out perfectly. The lid also can be used as a frying pan - it is basically flat for stove top frying. Overall this product would make a nice gift - it is nicely packaged and includes 2 silicone grabbers for the hot lids and a Recipe Booklet with a Great variety of dishes to make (includes a recipe for no knead bread which appears very similar to my recipe)- the back cover of the booklet has a measurement conversion chart which is actually very helpful!

Cast iron is supposed to be heavy, and this does not disappoint! When seasoned and cared for properly cast iron is great to cook with and is very easy to clean/maintain. I really like the smooth inside surfaces of this dutch oven. Some other dutch ovens have the handle on the top of the lid but this has the handles on the sides making it dual purpose - top for the dutch oven and frying pan when used alone. Being able to use the same cookware in the kitchen, on a grill, and when camping really is nice!

I absolutely love this Dutch oven cast iron pot. You can use the lid to cook in as well as the pot itself. It’s polished on the inside, so it is smooth and easier to clean than your normal cast iron skillets. It has even heat distribution and easy to clean. Looks great works great highly recommend.

Item came well packaged and how I expected it. I love the look of the inside. It's very smooth. The only flaw is a small nick on the inside on the bottom of the larger pot. Being this is cast iron, I am pretty sure this won't be much of a problem as the pot ages and becomes more seasoned since I am planning on using this only for sourdough bread. The lid seems to fit quite well. I am hoping it holds onto the moisture as my bread bakes.

I I ordered a 5 quart cast iron Dutch oven 1/26/23 and had a slight problem with it. I contacted customer service online and was very surprised to receive a response within one day. They said that they would send a replacement and I received it within a week. The company reached out again to make sure delivery was complete. Very nice company to deal with.This Dutch oven is beautiful and I think it will last a very long time.

I love how it didn't stick and plenty of room.I have made chowder, chili beans and spaghetti. Each recipe was cooked to perfection.
