Simple and affordable shredding knife at $9.99.The shredder has a handle made of wood and is connected by rivets to a sharp piece of metal shaped like a comb. The tool is lightweight with a wooden handle that is very comfortable to hold and is a compact size so it is easy to store with other kitchen knives and utensils.The knife is easy to use. When shredding scallions, it shred the green part of the scallion very easily, but did not shred as well with the base of the scallion, which is the white part. I had to pull the knife a lot harder and more times in order for the white part of the scallion to be shredded. There were a few times when the green part of the scallion cut off when I first applied the tool so I had to take each these smaller pieces and then shred it (see photo).Over this is a compact and easy to use tool for making julienne strips.

Great scallion shredder!

I was very impressed with the quality of this shredder! The workmanship is commendable, because the blade is securely attached through the wood polished handle with two metal rivets. The blade is sharp and while using it, I found that it sliced through the scallions easily and efficiently to garnish my dinner. I think it is worth the cost and I highly recommend!

This scallion shredder is well made and functional. The wooden handle is comfortable to grip, and it is securely attached to the stainless-steel blade. The blade does not feel very sharp when I touched it, but it did shred scallions quite well. Its slim profile is very convenient to store in the cabinet drawer. I own a different type of scallion shredder, but the blade feels so sharp that I have to be extra careful to handle it. This scallion shredder feels safer to use, and it does the job well. This is a great scallion shredder for the price, and I highly recommend it.

I didn't realize I needed a scallions shredder until I tried one. It does a nice job of doing what its name says - shredding scallions. It works quite well on a whole scallion or green onion, making a pass, rotating the scallion, and making another pass or two. It's cleanly made. Don't try to shred individual leaves lying flat on a cutting board. Use it on the whole scallion, beginning at the bulb end and continuing into the green tops.

What a handy tool!! Its well crafted with stainless steel with wooden handle. Simply take 3 or 4 scallions to make Julianne cuts. It makes me look like I have great knife skills with the even cuts. It claims to use on vegetables but I haven't had anything else to try it out on. Its priced well at $7.99...its definitely nice to grab it as opposed to digging out my madeline. Overall im happy with my purchase. Highly recommended.

This is a well-made julienne tool for smaller culinary jobs. I can't recommend it if you need to make many strips. You'd be better off with a mandoline slicer. But if you cook for yourself or maybe for two and like to spruce things up, this is a lot easier to use and clean than the mandoline. And it's safer too.At the price of $8 this is perfect for any home cook who wants to add pretty garnishes to their dishes. But save the big jobs for something else. Overall, I can recommend.
