Work great but there is a design flaw the grease oozes out…and into the body (behind the housings)

Works really great but there is a design flaw and the grease oozes out…and into the body (behind the housings) and I will not be able to clean it - It is actually impossible to clean without taking it apart. Only option is while it still hot and the grease liquid it will be able to pour out. Please believe me I am happy that it cooks the grease out of the food and that it’s not going onto my ass. I will try cook again and will stand it up on the hinged part so I am not retaining the grease in the body - if that doesn’t work this sucker is going back - otherwise - 5 stars.

Favorite Kitchen Appliance

My husband and I watch Ladbaby on YouTube. He recommended the sausage roll maker so we decided to try this one. For the past seven months, we have made so many different types of sausage rolls. It is a family favorite treat. However, my only complaint is the clip on the maker that holds it closed is weak. It broke after seven months of use. However, besides that slight issue, it is truly my favorite kitchen appliance.Update: The company send me a replacement sausage roll maker as my first one will not close. I’m super happy about having one that works. As everyone else mentioned, the clean up sucks but it is worth it when my kids are begging to have them for dinner.

So worth it!!!

It was straight out of the box simple. I decided to make little apple pies. One my first attempt I held back on filling because it said not to over fill, but I learned (after the only picture I have because all the rest were quickly eaten) that they need to be well filled.Beyond the puff pastry and Apple pies (which I did make my own pie filling because my mom likes cinnamon apples alone) I have also made breakfast rolls with tortillas that turned out great. I cooked sausage and potato hash. Then scrambled eggs. My mom likes just plain hash and eggs and I like to add cheese and spinach. Using the tortillas was a cost saver and they got good and crispy. We did find that they were of course drier because pastry is full of butter but my mom loves her "burrito rolls in salsa so it was literally awesome. I also thought next time I might give them a little swipe of butter after.I have thoughts for pizza pockets in the future. It does push out fat from things like the sausage or butter from the pastry so I put it on a cutting board. I clean it with a paper towel and a Clorox wipe. The inside is not meant to be "washed" as its more cast iron and seasoned. I wipe it down well with paper towels but it barely leaves crumbs.I got mine at half price because it waslists as a "damaged box", it appeared that it had been dropped but the device was very well packed and works beautifully. I can't say enough especially for the price!!!

It's okay could be better...

First impressions it's okay looking. Not bad, just could be better, not manufactured the best, small imperfections. There is no on/off switch or button, so you have to use the plug to turn it on or off. The latch that holds the lid down comes off way to easy. You only need to turn the latch up too far and it pops off. Does it to me pretty much every time, then it falls on the floor and you have to search for it. Latch is annoying. You can not take this apart, like taking out the griddles out for cleaning, it's all one piece. It does work pretty well and heats up pretty fast. Should be better for the price. We tried it out with a few ideas. Made some turkey and swiss cheese and ham and swiss with crescent roll dough. A tad on the thick side, but they are pretty good. Cooks fast enough. My wife made peanut butter and jelly with the crescent dough and those were real good. We bought a few different doughs, just forgot the stuff to go in side. One BIG caution... they talk and show putting rare meat into, they show quite a bit, but it cooks pretty fast and I really don't think meat would get cooked enough. They are kind of flirting with disaster if you ask me. I wish you could put rare meat in it, would be very nice, but I would not trust it. Guess I can try and see how done it gets.As so many have mentioned, there is NO recipe book included. Which is BS because they push it hard right in the product title, making sure to capitalize the FREE. I thought about giving 4 stars, but not when they are miss leading with a recipe book that is NOT included. Sadly my wife went to their website and found a recipe book, but she did not think any of the recipes looked good. So not only do you NOT get a recipe book, when you hunt it down on your own, it's not that good. Course that is an opinion. It's a shame, this could be a 5 star product, it's actually kind of fun to use and so many possibilities.

Awesome gadget. Endless possibilities.

They're popular in Australia and I just got my hands on one here! I made McDonald's style apple pies last night, then curried sausage rolls for our lunch today. Both with puff pastry which came out crispy delicious but loads of calories so I experimented with my own pastry and made more apple pies, pretty damn good! I have an idea to use crescent dough...

StarBlue Puff Pastry Snack Pocket Maker

A fun little appliance it uses puff pastry to encase fillings of choice to create 4 separate pockets. The included guide book is clearly written and I encountered no issues following the instructions. Note—no recipes were included in the booklet and I received no separate recipe booklet which may simply be an anomaly for the machine I received. Also regular size hot dogs are too long for the cavities and needed to be cut down about 1/4 of their length to fit. I prepared three different rolls—hot dogs with white cheddar and onions, refried beans with cheese and onions (burrito) and for dessert Nutella, marshmallows and some nuts. I used TJs (trader joes) frozen puff pastry which includes two sheets and I thawed them overnight in the refrigerator. Each sheet of the pastry made one batch of 4 rolls. I followed the video on the product page and the system worked well--lay the dough onto the cavities, fill and then fold the remainder of the dough over the filled cavities. Next close and latch the device, open and trim the pastry—but unlike the video I used a kitchen scissors to trim excess pastry rather than use a knife and possibly damage the non-stick finish.I periodically opened the device to ensure it wasn’t burning which the instructions encouraged but for both batches 10 minutes resulted in perfect pockets. To remove I used a nylon pancake flipper to lift up a corner edge which caused all four rolls to be released. I did follow the instructions for seasoning the cavities before first use and had no issues with anything sticking.I will not use marshmallows again because unlike s’mores they melted completely so they were not as much fun to consume. Selections that maintain at least some of their shape would be a better choice like a thick prepared fruit pie filling, dried fruit, etc. but nothing with too much juice or liquid. That said the flavor for the hot dogs, burritos and dessert were all delicious and the puff pastry was, as expected, light and flaky. The device is fun to use and offers the ability to be creative and customize fillings to create tasty puff pastry pockets.

Sausage Rolls made easy

Apparently a version of this sausage roll maker has been wildly popular in Australia and Britain for a while because sausage rolls are a take-away stand favorite in both countries. They even have a national "Sausage Roll Day". Americans pick up an Egg McMuffin for breakfast, but Brits and Aussies go for a quick sausage roll on the way to school or office. You use frozen premade puff pastry to wrap a sausage and bake it. But your creativity can come into play here. You can also use shortcrust pastry. As long as you don't overfill your roll, use your imagination. I have seen a baked bean filled sausage roll....1. If you are vegan and a lot of people are vegan or vegetarian, you can substitute veggie sausage or other fillings for the sausage.2. Gluten free can use gluten free pastry such as Schär puff paste if you can find it (Schär is an Austrian company that has a large line of really well made gluten-free products and found in many grocery stores.)3. You don't have to use sausage, yes, if you think these look like hot pockets, you can fill with curry, lentil filling, spinach and feta or apple pie filling. Beware as the filling after you bake is going to be dangerously hot, so put these up and away until they cool for at least fifteen minutes.4. You can cut the sausage rolls up into bites and use them for appetizers and hors d'oeuvres at your parties. If you have dietary restriction and like finger food and "fun" foods like hand pies, etc, this lets you create your own take-away shop food while knowing exactly what's in it.

You won't regret it

So my husband saw this on an episode of Sorted Food on YouTube and was intrigued, as he loves kitchen gadgets. It comes with a small book of recipes and ideas to get you started. We have made several of the items, and they are all tasty, as well as making some fruit hand pies. It heats up quickly and wipes down clean when you're done. I am not sure how practical it is, but it is fun, and you can make some tasty food.

Put A Tray Under It

I've had this for a few months. This is a fun sausage roll maker. I followed the instructions. That all being said... put a tray under this thing! Grease will render out from sausage, which makes the rolls crispy (not soggy). Some grease will spill to the sides, some may go under the lower heating element. Just let it cool and wipe the vents on the bottom. If you need to deep clean, use a toothpick.

Works alright for what it’s intended for

I tried to make eggrolls in this lol and toasted rice. It didn’t work out, but it is good enough to make a doughy pastry thing with cooked stuffing. Returned because it didn’t do what I was looking for

Delicious Pies

I make a lot of meat pies so I decided to try this pie maker and I’m so glad I did. It’s so to use that my prep time is literally cut in half. The pastry was flaky and light, the filling on the inside was the perfect proportion. I have bought one for a friend for her birthday and she loves it too.

I gifted the Cheese Board Set to my sister for her housewarming, and she hasn’t stopped using it. The oak wood feels premium, and the utensils cut cheese smoothly. Guests always compliment how elegant it looks.

The Cast Iron Tortilla Press makes preparing tortillas effortless. Its heavy weight does all the work for me—no need to struggle with rolling pins. Every tortilla comes out perfectly round with minimal effort.

I bought the StarBlue Hamburger Grill Maker for weekend cookouts, and it’s now my go-to. Beyond burgers, we use it for eggs, bacon, toast, and even veggies—so versatile that breakfast is quicker and tastier than ever.

The Roti Maker has cut my cooking time in half. Instead of rolling and cooking one by one, I can prepare multiple in minutes. It’s a real time-saver, especially for busy family dinners.

Anita Patel

The Takoyaki Maker is amazing. I used to only enjoy takoyaki at restaurants, but now I can make 18 at a time at home. The included picks made flipping easy, and the flavor turned out authentic.
